THE SOGGY BOTTOMS (MTB cycling) CLUB

Soggy by name, Soggy by nature. We are the Soggy Bottom Boys. A mountain bike group that hail from Hailsham. FYI girls are welcome too. Every Sunday we hit the trails and lanes and more often than not we find ourselves on the Southdowns. Mostly meeting at Hailsham’s South Road car park, the rides are a good mixed bag of easy to flippin’ ‘eck. Some good hill climbs and some fast downhills are all part of what we do. The views from the Southdowns are always amazing. Sometimes we venture to other areas, places like Bewl Reservoir and Bedgebury. As the club grows so will the rides and the destinations. Every year I encourage the guys to join me on a Charity ride to raise money for Action Medical Research. We have members from Hastings, Seaford, Polegate, Hailsham among others. There are no requirements to join us apart from a bike that is road and trail ready and a crash hat. All our weekly rides are posted on the Facebook page usually the week running up to the ride.
