🌾 Come and help sow a new wildflower meadow at the Castle and learn more about wildflowers, and the wildlife they support. Since the 1930’s we’ve lost 97 per cent of UK wildlife meadows so we are very happy to be expanding our habitat. Wildflower meadows support our soils, pollinators, wildlife, and even our own wellbeing. We collected wildflower seed in the summer, and we now need many hands to help us scatter it. It’s a fun task, with no experience needed. We will be joined by staff who will be happy to share their knowledge and give advice about creating your own wildflower meadow at home. We will be gathering at 10am at the visitor carpark and will be meadow making nearby.
