Butlers Farmhouse will be holding their Annual Garden Open for Charity as part of the National Gardens Scheme on Saturday 1 and Sunday 2 April from 2 to 5pm.
You are advised not to use your SatNav to find this garden but to go through the village of Herstmonceux, turn right signed Church Road, then approximately 1 mile turn right.
Admission is £7 for this lovely 1 acre garden in a rural setting, surrounding a C16 farmhouse with views of the South Downs. Pretty in Spring with daffodils, hellebores and primroses. This is quite a quirky garden with surprises round every corner including a rainbow border, small pond, Cornish inspired beach combers, a poison garden and secret jungle garden. Plants for sale. Most of the garden is accessible by wheelchair.
