Bates Green Farm, where the Bluebell Trail takes place each year, is organising a morning tour as an opportunity for those interested in what goes on behind the scenes, to learn more about the organisation and history of the Bluebell Walk. The first sessions are planned for Wednesday 9 and Thursday 10 November and will be limited to 20 persons per session. If interest is high, then more sessions will be held the following Wednesday and Thursday and so on. They are basing the format on the successful Bates Green Garden Study mornings which run from 9.30 to 12.30pm. On arrival you are offered a hot drink and piece of homemade cake prior to the start of the session, further details of which will follow soon. To finalise what should be an interesting morning, Farm owner, John McCutchan will be giving a tour round Beatons Wood, mentioning how significant this was during his childhood and how, since 1972 it has been adapted for the Bluebell Walk. The proposed cost of each session will be £40 per person and bookings can be made online at bluebellwalk.co.uk.
