There is a Candle Lit Vigil for the people of Ukraine on Saturday 24 February from 6pm to 7.15pm at the War Memorial in the town centre. This is the 2 year anniversary of “Putin’s ‘Special Military Operation’, the invasion of Ukraine.” The gathering is to salute the bravery of the men and women who fight for the freedom of their country, the heroes who have given their lives defending their country and the innocent civilians who have been killed. You are invited to go along to show your solidarity with the people of Ukraine in defence of their country. Please bring candles, torches or use the torch on your phone to shine a light in this darkest time of Ukraine.
