Try our range whilst early music specialists Faronel play a series of pieces from the 13th, 14th, and 15th Century. We’ll have time for questions and a look at the interesting and unique instruments themselves, as well as learning why we’ve chosen each set of pieces to ‘pair’ with each of our wines. You’ll taste several of our Henners wines and hear why we have selected the music and the wine in combination.
Faronel perform music from the late Medieval and Renaissance periods on a variety of period instruments, including recorder, crumhorn, rebec, bagpipes, and percussion! They include vocal music in their programmes, both a capella and with instruments.
This will be a really special and unusual way to experience the music and the wine together. Faronel are experts in introducing people to early music in a way that demystifies it. We’re hugely passionate at Henners about doing exactly the same with wine! Therefore this event is definitely suitable for you whether you’ve never been to a wine tasting or an early music concert, or if you’re deeply interested in both.
