About WOIH
What’s on in (and around) Hailsham is an online events guide and magazine. We cover Hailsham Town and surrounding villages in the BN27 postcode (and sometimes beyond). The guide also publishes articles and news for, by and about the people of Hailsham.
The aim of the publication is to provide publicity for local events organisers and raise the footfall. This helps to contribute to the raising of funds for local good causes.
What’s on in (and around) Hailsham seeks to provide opportunities for people, particularly those who may be feeling isolated or lonely, to:
- get involved
- go out into the community
- participate in town and village events
- join interest groups
- support local independent businesses
The site is supported by local business advertising.
Compiled and edited by Jenny Seale, community press correspondent of over 20 years for Hailsham, Herstmonceux, Hellingly, Horsebridge and Dickers – including the villages and hamlets in the BN27 postcode of Bodle Street Green, Boreham Street, Carters Corner, Chalvington, Chapel Row, Chilley Green, Cowbeech, Cowbeech Hill, Flowers Green, Foul Mile, Gingers Green, Golden Cross, Grove Hill, Lower Horsebridge, Magham Down, Nash Street, Rickney, Stunts Green, Tile Hurst, Trolliloes, Upper Dicker, Upper Horsebridge, Wartling, Windmill Hill and sometimes beyond.
